Mobilising Net Zero Financial Systems
The Rt Hon Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alderman William Russell, was among a cast of high ranking British and Chilean diplomats, civil servants and private sector business leaders who gathered around a virtual roundtable, hosted by the British-Chilean Chamber of Commerce’s Finance and Sustainability Committees, to discuss the barriers and opportunities to the development of Chile’s Green Finance Market.
The Lord Mayor was joined by a panel of experts, moderated by Greg Holland, CEO of the Chamber, which included: José Antonio Martínez, CEO of the Santiago Stock Exchange, Alison Gowman, Alderman of Dowgate Ward in the City of London Corporation; Non Executive Director of the Green Finance Institute and Co Chair of COP26 Finance Taskforce as well as Her Majesty’s Ambassador Louise de Sousa and the Chilean Ambassador to the UK David Gallagher.
The event was hosted by BritCham’s Finance & Capital Markets and Sustainability Committees, for whom sustainable economic development is
a central focus of their respective activities.
